What is the best container for Ice Tea?

Okay I have a plastice Ice Tea container that used to be clear. Now after a couple of uses it has a white flakey look to it. I assume this is from the heat of the water when added to the container along with the tea bags. It looks like crap and I assume that this means there are plastic particles getting into my tea.

So I started using a glass pitcher to make my ice tea. However, after a couple of uses it broke when I added the hot water. The bottom just exploded from the rest of the pitcher.

Advice please.

   get one that is plastic but looks like glass it works for me!!!!
