I make sweet tea at home and was wondering how the sugar content of my tea compares to a coke or something. I use two cups of sugar to make one gallon of sweet tea and an average serving size for me is like two cups. Also is there more caffine in my serving of my sweet tea or a can of coke? I use three Lipton Family Size tea bags for each gallon.

There are 380 grams of sugar in your gallon of tea. That breaks down to about 3 grams per ounce. So if you’re drinking 16 oz servings that’s 48 grams of sugar. Coke has 52 grams for the same size serving.
