I assume this is from the heat of the water when added to the container along with the tea bags.  It looks like crap and I assume that this means there are plastic particles getting into my tea.</p>
<p>So I started using a glass pitcher to make my ice tea.  However, after a couple of uses it broke when I added the hot water.  The bottom just exploded from the rest of the pitcher.</p>
<p>Advice please.</p>
