How to make tea without a tea kettle?

Seriously, I do not have a tea kettle, not even a teapot.

I usually make tea by putting a microwave-safe teacup full of water along with the tea bag in the microwave oven and set the oven for a minute and fifteen seconds.

Now that I have a metal mug, what would be best for a kettle? Metal makes sparks in a microwave oven which will eventually make an electrical fire.
